Looking for something set apart from the rest?
You've found it if you've ever listened to (Parent the Seas). Get it? Yeah, took me a minute too. These guys do what they love, and they sure love music. Frontmen Aaron and Steve started this group as a way to get away from all the other music that the Saginaw scene has been accustomed too. They wanted to start something fresh. To tell you the truth I enjoy what these guys are on to. They became a full four-piece band in the late winter of 2011. Adding a bass player (Jacob) & drummer (Matt) to the line up. I have went and watched these guys play at the Hamilton St. Pub in Saginaw and I must say they are crowd pleasers. Even though they just started out, they don't have recordings completed but they have such good stage presence. They play a collection of music they all like combined. I would say an alternative type of feel with lyrics that make your head spin. If this hasn't drawn you in to check them out at a show, I hear they give out free body massages. Now go ahead and support your local music scene!

Before Color
Fan of hardcore/electronic? Ever heard of Before Color? Well, you have now. They are a fairly new group coming together from Saginaw and Midland. Members including Aaron, Nathan, Jerry, Andy, Nick, & Brandon. They fuse together singing with double bass, and synth with double guitars. No matter what type of rock music you are into, you are sure to find something about this band that interests you. If that hasn't sold you yet, they boys of Before Color are playing a show with Hawthorne Heights on September 24th. They put a lot of work into getting a fan base out there and it sure has showed. Any of you listeners to 91.5 Modern Rock? Before Color is also having a live interview on the radio with them next Monday! Be sure to check it out as they will be playing 2 acoustic songs for all to hear.

Saginaw's pop punk band calls it a day.
Saginaw's local band "Act as One" has called it quits. After three years of jamming together they decided to stop making beautiful music. They say that some of them are moving in different directions musically and personally. As a result of, they played one final show to go out with a bang. They all gathered up on September 2nd with there good friends in Last Night Saved my Life, Facts of Life, Brothers, & Doogie. To say the least it was a night to remember. Act as One hasn't been together for that long but they won't be forgotten. Although, for you fans of guys they might be starting a new project. Going by the name of Thunderdeath. You can check out a preview of the guys new jams here.
